As a young child , I thought my future would be problem-free. As I grew into an adult, I began to experience many situations that made me feel unprepared and naive.

I had just taken up the study of Christian Science again as a young adult, when I found myself suffering from an impacted wisdom tooth. The dentist had warned me that my wisdom teeth needed to come out, but I had procrastinated.

In the Preface of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures , which sets forth the divine Science of Mind-healing that Jesus practiced, Mary Baker Eddy wrote, “Future ages must declare what the pioneer has accomplished” ( p. vii ).
