If you're facing a separation or divorce that you don't really want, you may be feeling very far from everything that's happy and good. You may even be thinking that if the Apostle Paul had known about you, he could never have written so confidently, "I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

As a small business owner and a single parent, I struggled just to stay up with the demands on my hours. My work sometimes entailed very long commutes to work sites; and along with my business, I had all the usual tasks of parenting.

One Afternoon , my sister and I were headed for the mountains to pick up our children from camp. As we drove along, we talked about healings our children had had through prayer.

During the first stages of construction of our new house, which I had designed and for which I was acting as the building contractor, I was repeatedly insulted and threatened by one of the foremen doing the concrete work. He was loud, belligerent, and constantly complained that some of the things required in the specifications were unnecessary and ridiculous, not the way he was used to doing things.

How can the Bible have a role in defining moral life in today's culturally diverse environment? Even among those whose background is rooted in Biblical tradition, there are many perspectives on its meaning and application. Also, it can be argued that the Bible was written in cultural times quite different from our own.

I'M a dedicated mountain hiker, one who enjoys the peaks above the tree line. The view from there is boundless, a "reach out and touch the face of God" kind of experience.
