About twenty-five or thirty newcomers came to the lecture sponsored by our Christian Science organization (CSO) on campus, and a number of them stayed for an hour afterward to ask questions. We gave away over twenty-five copies of Science and Health , the Christian Science textbook.

Over the years, a number of people have asked me, "Why does your Church publish a newspaper?" One of my answers has always been, Because one role of the Church of Christ, Scientist, is to spread truth, and a good newspaper promotes the purposes of truth. It's all right to be who you are, because who you are, as God's expression, is wonderful. Sometimes, though, we may feel less than wonderful, and, in fact, baffled about what being ourselves really means.
Have you resigned yourself to living with certain difficulties? Are you tempted to believe that you can be healed in some cases but not others? That some problems are "too big" for anyone to find a complete resolution? If so, you may have fallen into the trap of believing in "partial" dominion. The concept of partial dominion suggests that man is a fragile creature of the flesh, at times victorious but inherently vulnerable because of his supposed corporeal origin and nature.
