Many of us—as parents, relatives, educators, or simply members of a community—have opportunities to share the joy of working with young people. And our contacts with them can be just that—a joy! Not a superficial pleasure but a deep-down, spiritual joy that has its source in, and is sustained by, the understanding that man is made in the image and likeness of God.

Parents and grandparents naturally want to know how to help their children learn about Christian Science so that regardless of the challenges that come, their children's roots will be strong and firmly grounded. First, we can provide examples.

Whether at a shopping mall, on a college campus, or in the foyer of a church, a bulletin board is a great place for people to share information. You can learn a lot about an active community from reading local bulletin boards.

About two thousand years ago there was a man who explained to people that the quality of their lives depended upon the quality of their thought and on their willingness to understand and to obey God. This man was, of course, Christ Jesus.

A friend once told of a time when she had a key to the church to which she belonged and could come and go as she needed. She attributed this to being an active member.

At one time or another, each of us has probably felt incapable of handling certain situations. We may have been praying about a physical, financial, or relationship problem for some time, but perhaps without healing or resolution.
