When we use the word "Christ" to mean the true idea of God, more than just the right understanding of God is involved. The true idea is the actual expression of God.

Over three hundred years ago William Shakespeare put these words in the mouth of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark: "This most excellent canopy, the air, look you, this brave o'erhanging firmament .

Christendom loves the story of the Bethlehem star, which guided Wisemen from the East to the cradle of the infant Jesus. Being spiritually attuned to the times, the Wisemen glimpsed the light of Christ, Truth, which Jesus was destined to reveal later in its pure glory and power.

Be kind to yourself by loving yourself— what you really are. This love will happify, strengthen, and develop you.

The fact that God is Mind can be proved by each individual when he turns to God for direction, decision, wisdom, and healing. The relationship of Mind and idea must be acknowledged, and the directness of this relationship must be practiced.

The time of spiritual harvest is here, or the discovery of Christian Science, the healing truth proved by Christ Jesus, would not have been made. Even in the days of Jesus there was a dearth of laborers to harvest the fruits of spiritual readiness for the Christ that he demonstrated.

Those taking part in protest demonstrations sometimes carry placards displaying the words, "Make peace, not war!" It would be difficult to fault the idealism and concern that motivates such slogans, but human warfare is a complex problem that cannot be solved by public demonstrations or well-meaning slogans alone. All persons with decent instincts want to see an end to war.

Becoming a member of The Mother Church and one of its branches is more than a privilege. Carrying out the requirements of such membership protects the member and guides him into the realm of immortal existence in Spirit.

A Christian Science treatment when properly given is the most potent therapeutic agent ever discovered. Through spiritual understanding and the focus of right ideas the omnipotence of divine Mind is brought to bear on human discord.
