Testimonies of Healing
About 18 months ago I found myself with all the symptoms of a severe cold. I called a Christian Science practitioner from the office to ask her to pray with me about the condition.
About 20 years ago I had several instances of discomfort from a wisdom tooth. During that time, my mother passed away.
One day last October, while grocery shopping after work, I suddenly lost most of the sight in my left eye. At first I was tempted to question why this had happened: "Where did this come from?" "Why was it so sudden?" Then the thought came, "Don't try to answer these questions.
As a long-distance runner in high school, my performance each year seemed to follow the same frustrating pattern. I would begin a season well, but my race results would gradually deteriorate until I finished the season worse than I had started.
In April of 2002, I decided to clean some project files out of an attic storage room and filled a laundry basket with old files to carry down to the trash. On the way down the rather steep stairway, I slipped and fell to the floor at the base of the stairs.
For several years, I had an allergy to soap powders and detergents. I couldn't even put my hands in dishwater without them drying up and breaking out in a rash.
My son works in the international office of a university, helping with students who are visiting from other countries. Recently when he was at the airport picking up some incoming students, a young woman from Sweden told him that she was returning home on the next flight.
One morning as I was making a bed, my right hand became tangled in the sheet. I felt a tiny "snap" in one of my fingers.
Three years ago , a stray cat began hanging around our house, possibly because my husband and I have two cats in residence. He was a dirty, white and black cat with a sore eye and many matted areas of fur.
Around June 2002 , a little growth appeared on the outside of my nose, but I didn't think too much about it until it started to get larger. I prayed about it and also asked a Christian Science practitioner to help me pray.
