February is Black History Month in the United States. While the Journal is not a history magazine, it does seek to bring spiritual light to all subjects that relate to human welfare—light that results in moral and physical healing.

It Doesn't Take the beginning of a new year for us to appreciate the concept of newness, or a fresh start, and the promise it brings. Yet at this time of year it's natural to think in those terms and to consider the possibilities that lie ahead.
