Funds are available for benevolence grants from the trust established under Clause 8 of Mary Baker Eddy’s will. These funds are devoted to the primary purpose of “more effectually promoting and extending the religion of Christian Science as taught by [Mary Baker Eddy].

Dedication of a branch church or society is a public affirmation of the importance of Church in the lives of Christian Scientists and in the community. The following branch in South Carolina has sent notification to The Mother Church of their dedicatory service held February 20, 2022, their second dedication of a church edifice in 100 years: First Church of Christ, Scientist, Columbia, South Carolina.
Dear Fellow Members of The Mother Church, There are two cloth-bound notebooks on my desk, precious to me. They belonged to my grandmother and she has filled them with handwritten testimonies of gratitude.
Every three years since 1907, the Board of Education, an auxiliary to the Massachusetts Metaphysical College, has held a Normal class to train and authorize qualified practitioners of Christian Science healing to take on the additional responsibility of teaching this healing practice to others. We’re grateful to announce that a dedicated new group of teachers has now completed the 2021 Normal class, which was held in early December in the Boston area.
