COMMITTEE ON CARE FOR CHRISTIAN SCIENTISTS

A Committee on Care for Christian Scientists, which replaces the Committee on Christian Science Nursing Homes, has been appointed by this Board. This Committee is authorized to administer the following policy respecting nursing care for Christian Scientists: 1.

"PRACTICAL, OPERATIVE CHRISTIAN SCIENCE"

A RADICAL RELIGION

Christian Science is a radical religion, because it is Science. Its contribution to humanity's progress out of ignorance into understanding, out of limitation into freedom, out of bondage into dominion, is to be found not in the points of agreement with other religions and other sciences but in the points of disagreement.

MAN'S PLACE IN GOD'S STRUCTURE

Many remarkable unfoldments are going on in human consciousness, but nothing is more important than the appearing of the spiritual idea, Church. According to Christian Science, this structure of Deity includes the true concept of everything created.

WORKING FOR A BETTER WORLD

Christian Science teaches us to support all that is good in human existence and to work to overcome all that is evil. The basis of this work is Love, and the method is prayer.

THE VALUE OF SACRIFICE

The sacrifices that are essential to the highest human good represent a high degree of selflessness. Today's beneficiaries of the Christian way of life are challenged to make whatever sacrifices are necessary to lift the human concept of existence above the level of materialism that Christianity may fulfill its spiritual mission.

DESTROYING DEATH AS A DREAM

A Great message of the Bible is the truth that man is God's likeness and that this likeness is spiritual and deathless. One should never lose sight of this fact, even though in human life, so called, one must deal with the mortal sense of existence.

ABSOLUTE AND RELATIVE

THAT which is absolute is perfect, free from imperfection or fault, free from mixtures, free from limitation, restriction, or qualification. God, Spirit, alone is absolute.

A BETTER JOB

EVERYONE has some spark of talent, but few believe that they have an opportunity to develop that spark into a truly satisfying expression of individuality. Too many hold jobs that give them the human comforts, a sense of status and security, but long to be doing something else.
