THAT which is absolute is perfect, free from imperfection or fault, free from mixtures, free from limitation, restriction, or qualification. God, Spirit, alone is absolute.
EVERYONE has some spark of talent, but few believe that they have an opportunity to develop that spark into a truly satisfying expression of individuality. Too many hold jobs that give them the human comforts, a sense of status and security, but long to be doing something else.
GREAT numbers of people are engaged in research projects and are developing various natural sciences. While one recognizes the usefulness of much of this work in the human realm, one should see that far more research should be carried out on spiritual lines.
THE application of the Golden Rule enters into every aspect of branch church activity. It is especially called for in dealing with members who have become inactive for one reason or another.
CHRIST JESUS gave us the example by which we can know what it means to acknowledge that God is Love. He gave his life, in every sense of giving one's life, and so demonstrated love as an essential element of man in God's image.
" IS there a God?" Because one is conscious of his own existence, he must admit that there is a cause of his being. And the fact that he is conscious of being points to Mind as the source of his existence.
OCCASIONALLY one hears questioned the emphasis placed upon healing by Christian Scientists. This emphasis is even discounted as a materialistic approach to religious worship.
" THE time for the reappearing of the divine healing is throughout all time; and whosoever layeth his earthly all on the altar of divine Science, drinketh of Christ's cup now, and is endued with the spirit and power of Christian healing," writes Mrs. Eddy on page 55 of Science and Health.
YOUNG people are sometimes tempted to leave the religion they have been brought up in because they have not been given the opportunity to think it through for themselves. Having been exposed to no other religions, they may question their own beliefs and come to the conclusion that they hold these beliefs only because they have known nothing else.
A FIELD of investigation that engages the interest of many natural scientists is that of evolution. They want to know how life began on this planet and how it has reached its present zenith in mortal man.
