Putting on record insights into the practice of Christian Science.

"THE FOCUS OF IDEAS"

Ideas , like rays of light, need to be brought into focus at a certain point in order that they may provide enlightenment. Christian Science does this with precision and thus makes the light of Christ, Truth, intelligently available to all.

TIME IS UNKNOWN TO SPIRIT

Spirit , God, is omnipresent. In Spirit there is no matter or mortal mind and hence no laws of limitation.

THE VALUE OF SPIRITUAL THINKING

Physical force, being neither intelligent nor moral, has no control over its own use and so is subject within certain limits to the will of men. Spiritual thinking, on the contrary, thinking based on the allness of Spirit, embodies divine intelligence and so expresses the divine will.

A KINGDOM AT HAND

Christ Jesus opened his Galilean ministry with these stirring words: "The kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel" ( Mark 1:15 ). A new realm, the kingdom of heaven, at the door of mankind! Here, unseen to the physical senses, beyond the material and mortal, the evil and destructive, is a kingdom of light, order, and harmony.

OUR LIVING HERITAGE

CHRISTIAN SCIENTISTS are the beneficiaries of a heritage, a living heritage, perpetual, irrevocable. It is the heritage of the reborn, those "born of water and of the Spirit" ( John 3 ).

TRUTH DESTROYS EVIL'S SECRET METHODS

THE mature student of Christian Science does not fear animal magnetism or evil; neither does he ignore it or personalize it, that is, give it identity. This Science teaches him how to strip error of its covering and to destroy it through the application of the power of Christ, Truth, God's infinite idea.

SELF-ASSERTIVE MIND

Through the sheer might of unfolding good, Mind asserts its presence, its government, its law, its allness—eternally and universally. Patriarchs and prophets heard the voice of God, and the Scriptures record His glorious statements.

"IN GOD WE TRUST"

Evidence of the natural inclination to trust in Deity is indicated by the national motto now inscribed on coins and in increasing degree on paper currency of the United States, "In God we trust. " To some, the motto may signify a mere hope that He will help us.

THE POWERLESSNESS OF EVIL

Christ Jesus sent forth two groups of disciples, twelve in one instance and seventy in the other, directing them to preach the gospel and heal the sick. Both groups were successful.

THE OVERTHROW OF MATERIALISM

The world is looking to materialism for remedies for the very difficulties that materialism has produced. But can materialism ever solve these difficulties? Christian Science shows that it cannot, and history confirms this.
