UNFOLDMENT implies the spreading out of something enfolded within and may be illustrated by the unrolling of an ancient scroll which holds within itself the details of a complete and well-designed tale. The nature of the characters portrayed, the interplay of their moods, actions, and experiences, and the development of the plot resulting therefrom—all are included in the tale and unfold to one as he reads it.

AT this moment of the world's history Christian Science is perhaps most significantly distinguished from other systems of thought by its unyielding emphasis upon the indestructibility of individuality, expressing Life, or God. The indestructibility of individuality is a Christian concept, but this concept requires spiritual understanding, as taught in Christian Science, to comprehend its demonstrable meaning.

" The present is ours; the future, big with events. Every man and woman should be to-day a law to himself, herself,—a law of loyalty to Jesus' Sermon on the Mount.

It has been truly said that the design of wisdom may be found in all events. Whatever the human circumstance may be, there is no justification for a Christian Scientist to believe that things are working against him.

Christian love is synonymous with that which expresses power, that which has the ability and the intelligence to exist unharmed, without fear of any supposed attack upon its existence. Does anyone believe that an individual or a nation practicing Christian love is at a disadvantage when coming in contact with an individual or a nation not practicing it? Surely there is nothing in the teachings of Christ Jesus to support the view that a Christian surrenders all weapons and serves his God at the price of remaining off guard against unscrupulous and malicious evil.

A Spiritual awakening is taking place throughout the civilized world. It may be slowly perceived at its present stage, but it is already apparent to those who have eyes to see and ears to hear.

The Scriptural record of God's protection of those who unfolded Truth to men is an abiding comfort. Christian Science interprets this protection as evidence of the inseparability of Spirit and its emanation, spiritual man; as proof of the presence of Love resistlessly asserting its ability to preserve all that has origin in Deity.

Everyone has a talent. It is important that this fact be realized.

When Christ Jesus said ( John 6:63 ), "It is the spirit that quickeneth," he spoke in the present tense, signifying that the life-giving or creative action of Spirit, God, is a continuing operation. Paul stressed the same truth when he wrote of "the inward man" as being "renewed day by day" ( II Cor.

We read in the book of Numbers (12: 3) , "Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth. " Judged by Moses' achievements, the quality of meekness should be placed high among spiritual values, Christ Jesus included meekness in the framework of the Beatitudes, thus emphasizing its worth.
