NO BARRIERS HERE

There are those who calculate that when we rocket out beyond the moon we come back younger than if we had not blasted off. Can't we then begin to see earth's scenes as passing shows and let thought reach the here-and-now of Soul, a journey that outdistances all downward pull and bounds ahead of farthest light-years finally to find Spirit's matterless space where we really live and move held forever in the timeless caring presence of Love's place? Carol Earle Chapin.

DARE

"Dare to be a Daniel" (The old hymn goes). Dare To face the lions, The tide that flows From the popular.

QUESTION AND ANSWER

Where is your foundation, friend? Did you dig deep and reach the rock? How much effort did you spend? Cannot earth resist a shock? Well, no, you say, when floods of fear Sweep in and ills besiege your land. Dig deep.

WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?

Have you been maligned, attacked, abused, Misrepresented, falsely accused? What would Jesus do? He loved his enemies and forgave, Blessed them that cursed him, sought only to save. Take up his cross! Wherever it leads, Follow him in thought, in word, and deeds.

SEEKING AND FINDING

Where are you looking for your child? In body where you reconciled Your thought of him with lineage, Ancestral features in a cage That holds old family traits outlined? Is this what you expect to find? Beyond true self he has not strayed, And you will find him unafraid Within God's consciousness; He wrought The purity of childlike thought, Rejoicing in the Father's care. You who now search will find him there As Mary found her little son Full-safe with God, the Holy One, If you will lift your thought to see His spiritual identity.

CHRISTMAS CAROL

The child to be born found Mary waiting for him: innocent as the morning, unfazed by angels. Found Joseph—drawn from so common a lot who yet so uncommonly understood how he too must play his part.

IN EACH ONE

A flame burns deep: clear as etched snow shadows true, sharp glass thin; pure as the stretching tones of a flickering violin. Oh, let me see and understand the light of Christ in every man.

WHO ARE YOU?

Who are you tripping down my life— you running, you slipping you noisily crowding you lingering through my life .

THE MAN OF JOY

At the Last Supper he spoke of his joy, spoke of his joy to his friends. When their Master walked in wider room beyond the cross, beyond the tomb, he left them his message of joy to bear— a joy that none could take from them— out to the world's far ends.

WITHIN YOU

Of pearl is the gate (Truth is a pearl) to this kingdom royal and fair. In the midst of the throne is the Lamb; Love and Principle govern this realm.
