DESERT TREE

Its bark was soft As baby's skin, A touch of velvet Smooth and green. Not scarred or burnt By desert heat Nor forced into A charred defeat But new and fresh And strengthened too By howling winds And sands that blew.

EVER HIGHER

Stiff winds give a strong lift, as the unseen hand of Love carries the eagle into the purest spheres. Do unrelenting winds of grief pour in where yearning hope clings to a light still dim? Then look upward— for even now Love lifts us into sweeter joys that never will be lost.

"I do set my bow in the cloud"

God, the great illustrator, reminding that good predominates over unreal clouds of sickness or fear. Primary colors of Christliness rainbowed in faith, loyalty, trust, are a link to Love's everlasting loveliness HERE.

"... NEVER FOR AN INSTANT ..."*

You can prove As the master Christian did, There is no power to interrupt, deprive, or limit You—divine Mind's idea—in your expression Of intelligence, vitality, health; To keep you from tasting the eternal fullness of life. So when we feel how cramped and small we've been, and longingly reach for a larger light, instill in us an honest kindness, filled with Your reflected warmth—a spreading joy, renewed each day as self subsides and room is made for fuller gleams of Your unbounded love.

A DIVINE CALLING

I am a new student of Christian Science. I attended a lecture in my town.

Only Love to Meet

With an overwhelming sense of dread, I faced the interview ahead. When I told a friend my plight, her calm reply brought gentle light.
