SELF-ENCOURAGEMENT

Never let the vision go, Cherish it with all your might, For the vision you may know Helps to bring the whole world light. Lift your thought—this is your place: He who seeks will always find In God's love he doth efface All unlike the fruits of Mind.

PURE VISION

The pure in heart their God shall see; They'll see man pure and undefiled, Not born of earth—from Spirit sprung, The man of God, His perfect child. The joys of Soul shall e'er be theirs; In love they'll walk unlabored, free.

LOVE'S COMPASSION

And Jesus wept. He who had said, "I am the resurrection, and the life," could prove unreal the bitter dream of death.

OUT OF DARKNESS INTO LIGHT

I wandered far, I sought strange lands to see, I satisfied my childish wish to roam; Yet after long and weary miles I found I never once had left my Father's home. I builded me a house with vaulted rooms, I planted lovely gardens, sweet and fair, And looked with foolish pride upon my work, Until I found God's presence everywhere.

OUR HELP

The light of Truth can clear the darkest hour, The warmth of Love, prove seeming woe untrue; The strength of Spirit shall protect him who, Placing his trust in God, gives fear no power.

WHEN STARS APPEAR

Alone I climb, in earnest quest, The mount of vision's highest crest, Where winds of heaven sweep clean the skies— The pinnacle where meekness lies— And pause awhile, at God's behest. This realm of Love, where every guest May breathe in goodness, repossessed, Is God's domain.

THE AWAKENING

Angels at the tomb, saying, "He is risen," Bade us come to meet him here in Galilee. There by Calvary we had fled for fear of hate, Fled from love.

EVERLASTING LOVE

Love divine, forever hold me; Everlasting arms, enfold me; Let me know Thy power supreme forever here. By Thy forces strong surrounded I can never be confounded; I can meet life's daily conflict without fear.

ANGELS

Angels are with you now, O steadfast one! They thrust the sword of Spirit in your hand; They buckle winged shoes upon your feet; They lift your eyes above earth's dull despair To see the present glory of the Lord. Michael is leading—spiritual strength — And Gabriel, in ever-present love, Is showing forth his gentle ministry.

THE CHRIST IS HERE

We do not know the things God has in store, Nor glimpse as yet the thoughts that will unfold When tribulation, pain, and trials sore Give place to heaven's blessings, joys untold. What must we do to hasten the glad day When all obstructions—veils which hide our God— Are swept by Love's victorious hosts away, And thoughts uplift us far above the sod? The promise stands which centuries ago The Master gave to students standing by, "Lo, I am with you alway;" this to know Brings all we ever prayed for here and nigh.
