EVERLASTING LOVE

From the March 1942 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Love divine, forever hold me;
Everlasting arms, enfold me;
Let me know Thy power supreme forever here.
By Thy forces strong surrounded
I can never be confounded;
I can meet life's daily conflict without fear.

Thou art Father, Thou art Mother,
Dearer far than any other;
Conscious of Thy harmony, I am at peace,
In Thy secret place abiding.
Heeding every gentle chiding—
Every sense of pain and grief must surely cease.

Oft I've proved Thy loving-kindness;
Father, let no willful blindness
Enter in to cloud and darken all the way.
Kept from every doubtful fearing,
Nothing but Thy precepts hearing.
I will grasp Thy hand more firmly day by day.
