"M. Victor St. Paul has placed £1,000 at the disposal of the Paris Academy of Medicine as a prize to any person, without limitation as to calling or nationality, who shall succeed in discovering an "infallible means of cure for diphtheria."
We are sorry that this wealthy gentleman has not offered his prize for the discovery of an "infallible" means of prevention instead of cure.
