The seer should be also a sage. Small streams are noisy, and rush precipitately in small torrents. Babbling brooks run to the river, and the river rises with storms to demolish bridges and flood cities; but the voice of Truth comes to our recognition slowly and silently, changing our natures by its power, and leading not only to prayer, but to most practical benedictions.
