One Word

From the May 1886 issue of The Christian Science Journal

A word to the wise is sufficient.
Proverb.

They be no gods which are made with hands.
Acts xix. 26.

At this hour it would seem that these words were being weighed in the scale of Christian Science; and that not only the prescription-craft, but the colossal temple of patent nostrums (whose name is legion)—even the gods whom the whole world worship,—are in danger of being set at naught.
