Testimonies of Healing

Omaha, Nebraska

From the March 1887 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Dear Journal:—About twelve years ago I was attacked with rheumatism in my knees and ankles. A doctor was called, but he did me no good. I worried with those troubles that were wearing me out, and by September, 1885, was too weak to sit up, and concluded my period of life here was short. Two doctors were called, and they pronounced me incurable.

Last August, I was informed by a niece, Mrs. Beach, (who had been an invalid for twenty years with spinal and hip trouble caused by being thrown from a buggy), about her wonderful cure, effected by Mrs. Fenn, a lady in our city, who gave her the Christian Science treatment, and in ten or twelve days she was healed. I was advised to make a trial, and did so. The next day I rode one and one-half miles, took the treatment, and returned much improved. Three weeks' treatment were sufficient, as I realized I was feeling well, with a good appetite, no rheumatism, and sleeping well. My weight at that time was one hundred and twenty-five; now (after three months) is one hundred and seventy, know my strength, and I take much pleasure in reading and talking Christian Science, and I bid my many friends to go and do likewise.
