Several years ago my mother had a wart on her face, just under one eye. She thought little or nothing about it until finally it began to grow and be inflamed, causing much annoyance and some uneasiness. She consulted her physician who said it should be taken off, but that she must go to a specialist, as he was afraid to undertake the operation. As she was making her arrangements to visit me in a short time she decided to have it attended to here.
When she told me what advice she had received, and asked me to recommend the best doctor here, I of course recommended Christian Science. She was willing, but wanted me to treat her. At first I hesitated, the wart looked so angry, and I had been healed myself but a short time before. She knew nothing about Science except that I had been wonderfully helped, and she seemed unwilling for any one else to treat her, so I went to work, first with myself, and was soon able to see that one manifestation of error was no more real than another, all being illusion. In a short time the wart began to crumble apart, and literally broke to pieces, falling out root by root. There was no pain during this up-rooting, and not the faintest scar was left.
On her return home she told her physician about it. He was much impressed, and said he had known Christian Science to do many wonderful things. Another physician, however, laughed at the idea, and said those warts often came out of themselves, and that this one would be sure to return. But it has not, and fully five years have passed since the demonstration was made.
