"The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death." Thank God for that final verdict! We Christian Scientists, enlisted for the destruction of sin, sickness, and death, give sincere thanks that the day is nearer than when the apostle made this momentous statement, whereby we learn, that death is not of God, it is not a friend, it is not irrevocable; it is an enemy, and is to be destroyed.
How soon that fact will be demonstrated fully, depends upon how soon we are ready. This is another momentous thought that we shall do well to ponder.
"Divinity is always ready" (Science and Health, p. 458). His time is now. Yet how patiently He waits for us to know, for us to waken to our privilege as factors in this work. Truly, "a bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory."
