I desire to tell through the Journal what Christian Science has done for me. Some six years ago I was taken sick with the grip while living in Indianapolis, and as a consequence of this, together with a generally poor state of health, I found myself suffering from incipient consumption, so pronounced by three reputable physicians.
I resigned my position on their advice, and went to Colorado, where, after a year's residence, during the first six months of which I had fever every afternoon, I apparently recovered my health. I returned East, securing a position in New York City.
During my residence there, I was constantly in fear lest the old trouble should recur, and I be compelled to sacrifice my position and return to Colorado. I suffered from frequent colds and sore throat, and had the services of a specialist very often, without permanent relief.
