GUIDANCE

From the December 1905 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.—23d Psalm.

Thine arm doth stay my faltering steps,
Thine eye behold my falling tear.;
Thou leadest me from out the depths,
With Thee as guide I have no fear.

Through clouds of sense a ray of light
Illumes my way, and now I see
By faithful trusting in the night
The morning finds me nearer Thee.

I shall not want, Thou art my all,
Upon Thy bounty I rely;
Thou hear'st Thy children when they call,
Their every need Thou wilt supply.

Thou leadest me to pastures new.
Where I may rest from pain and care;
And from this wider range of view
I learn that good is everywhere.
