TRUST

From the October 1907 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The way I cannot always see
That leads to higher things,
But yet I know God guideth me,
And heav'n to me He brings.

'Tis He who calls me, and although
I may not always hear
His gentle voice, yet still I know
That He is ever near.

Though footsteps halt, and goal seem far,
I fear not earth's alarms
While 'round me and about me are
The everlasting arms.

So, faint or sick as I may seem,
And lame, to mortal sense,
All this I know is but a dream—
E'en now 'tis driven hence.

I am not lame, I hear, I see,
Released from error's thrall,
For Christ, our Truth, has set me free,
And He is All-in-all!
