I am not a Christian Scientist, but I want to tell what Christian Science has done and is doing for me. Four years ago I was very ill with lung trouble—to all appearances dying. My husband telephoned to London for a Christian Scientist to come at once. She arrived in the morning, treated me, and that evening I helped to get tea. At nine o'clock I went to the depot to see my practitioner return home. I had a copy of Science and Health, but did not study it as I should have after my healing, until over a year ago, at the birth of my youngest child, when a dreaded disease appeared on my breast. The doctors said I must wean my child and go to a hospital at once. Other parts of the body presented a dreadful appearance, and my husband went to London to make arrangements at the hospital. While there he called upon the Christian Science practitioner who had helped me before. In talking over my case she advised that I again have Science treatment and she came to see me the next week. I began to improve at once, my baby was not even weaned, and there is not a healthier child anywhere. He has never been sick a day since he was born. My breast is healed, and I am now studying the latest edition of Science and Health with a desire to understand more of this great truth that is reclaiming a sin-sick world. I find as I grow in health of body that my thought is changed,—that the old sense of envy, hate, jealousy, etc., is becoming less, and I have a peace of mind I never knew before.
I am truly thankful to God for this saving truth, and to Mrs. Eddy, who has brought this gift of Love to us,—this healing truth which came to me in my time of sore need.— Ingersoll, Ont.
