Four years ago I was living in San Jose, and was a great sufferer from a complication of diseases. My condition became more alarming and painful, and I was restricted to a milk diet. I was treated by the leading physician of this town, and he at last pronounced my case incurable. I then went to San Francisco and consulted a leading specialist, who, after a most careful and thorough examination, gave a written diagnosis, stating that I had gall-stones, which could be reduced by operation; also a malignant growth in the stomach, which could not be removed. He said I might live six weeks, but probably not.
At last I decided to try Christian Science, and called a practitioner, under whose treatment I began to improve at once. I had one attack of pain, supposed to be from gallstones, a few weeks later, but none since. I continued the treatment for about one year. During that time my husband died very suddenly, and Christian Science sustained and comforted me as nothing else could. My improvement was steady, and I felt it would be wise to continue treatment until every trace of disease was eradicated. I am now well and walk several miles every day.
