Christian Science has brought such happiness to me that I am more than glad to tell others of my experience. For a year before learning of this truth I had felt very ill— my strength seemed to be failing and I was greatly emaciated. My trouble was finally pronounced by the doctors to be asthmatic, with an affection of the lungs. Three doctors attended me at different times, but I received no lasting benefit from their treatment. At last it was decided that a change of climate would be best for me, and the only means of recovery. I dreaded to go away on account of leaving my two little ones, though it was believed that if I did not go at once I might not be long with them.
About two years ago my husband's employer spoke to him of Christian Science. My husband was very anxious that I should try it, and I went to a friend who was a Scientist for information. She told me what she could, and then went with me to a practitioner. I commenced to take treatment at once and bought the book "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." In two weeks' time I felt that I was perfectly healed, although still weak; but in a few days more my strength had returned, and since then has never left me. I had always been of a discontented disposition, fault-finding, envious, and easily offended; now all is so different, and my heart is full of peace and love toward all. Then, too, we have been prospered in every way through the understanding of God as our present supply. I can say with the psalmist, "It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect." My heart goes out in grateful love to that brave woman who has brought this knowledge of God to me and to all mankind.
