I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to God for what Christian Science has done for me. It is now about eight years since this truth found me. At that time I was suffering from heart trouble, for which I had been treated by many different physicians, but without results. Christian Science healed me of this trouble in a short time. While taking treatment for this ailment I was carrying my left arm in a sling, as it had been seriously injured and was in a bad condition, for I knew nothing of this truth at the time of the accident. The splints had been on my arm for eleven weeks and the injury to the shoulder made it impossible for me to raise my arm at all. It had also become crooked, and the doctors told me it would never be straight again and that I would have to take electric treatments to develop the muscles at the shoulder. I went home and found a Christian Scientist, told her my trouble and what the doctor had said, and after she had talked to me for a while I saw that if God could heal heart trouble he could also take care of my arm. I turned the case over to the practitioner, and that very same afternoon I took off the sling and threw it away. In a very short time I was at work again and suffered no inconvenience in using my left arm to do whatever was necessary. It has never troubled me since, and is now as straight as the other.
For this and many other blessings that have come to me and my family through the study of Science and Health I am very grateful, but for the spiritual uplifting which I have received through this understanding I find no words to express my gratitude to God, and to Mrs. Eddy. At the time of my healing from heart trouble I was also healed of the drink habit, and I never had a desire for liquor after that time. Surely Christian Science has been a pearl of great price to me and to my family.
