Testimonies of Healing

I submit the following testimonial...

From the December 1912 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I submit the following testimonial for publication. Only that subtle form of error known as inertia has kept me from acknowledging long since the many blessings I owe to Christian Science. I first read Science and Health in 1892, then laid it aside, only to take up the study of it once more in April, 1907. At this time I had been a sufferer from stomach trouble for perhaps twenty years. In June of that year I was to go through an ordeal, but could not see my way clear to have Christian Science treatment, so I engaged a physician and nurse, deciding that if afterward I found myself no better. I would engage a Christian Science practitioner. All these months I kept up my study of Science and Health, and when my child was born in June, I attributed the comparatively slight suffering to my continued study of this book. In a few weeks I found myself freer from headaches, and almost entirely free from stomach and bowel trouble, also of a lump in the throat, and of biliousness.

For several years I have depended entirely upon Christian Science for my children. I have been brought through a badly injured ankle, and all four of the children through measles, coughs, colds, and other disturbances, until health, as the expression of mental harmony, has become the rule rather than the exception in the family. I no longer am despondent, as formerly, for when the temptation comes I know how to meet and master it. I desire to express my gratitude to God that our Leader shared this discovery, this revelation, with all mankind.—
