When I came to Christian Science two years ago, I had been suffering with an abdominal trouble for fourteen years, and had been operated upon three times during the last year. I then tried a so-called nature-cure and experienced some relief; but later the trouble returned, and the attacks were more severe. I could not make up my mind to undergo another operation, as suggested by the physician, and upon hearing of Christian Science, in my great need I immediately went to Hannover, where the subject of Christian Science and its teaching was presented to me by a kind practitioner. I was freed of the intense pain during the first treatment, and it has never returned since. Gradually the attending symptoms disappeared, and I am now a perfectly well woman.
Great blessings have come to us through Christian Science. My little eight-year-old daughter was healed of a very severe attack of appendicitis within three days. An umbilical hernia which the child had had from birth also disappeared. I am unable to express in words my deep feeling of gratitude.
