As I have been greatly benefited by what I have read in the Christian Science periodicals, I will tell of a recent experience. There was something to be done to make our meeting room look more harmonious, and while it took only a little while to make the needed readjustment, when I had finished it and was walking away, I noticed that my left foot, which had been swollen and painful and which felt numb when walking fast, was now well. I could walk briskly in the joy of the discovery that in doing my duty in a Christian spirit the pain and swelling had all gone.
I am thankful to God that He leads us aright when we are willing to be led. After much suffering and sorrow I had to give up five dear children, though they had the kindest of medical care. I was then led by the advice of a friend to take up the study of Christian Science, through which I have been enabled to raise two boys to healthy young manhood without any medical treatment, also a girl of twelve who plays the hymns sometimes at our meetings. With the tenderest love for our dear Leader, who taught us the way of our Exemplar, Christ Jesus, I sign myself a humble student of Christian Science.— Genoa, Neb.
