I am truly grateful for what Christian Science has done for me. In August, 1910, 1 was a physical wreck, for I had a nervous breakdown which caused me to be almost distracted at times. The doctors who examined me said I would have to have an operation, and they were coming the next day to take me to the hospital. I suffered with headaches all the time, and had stomach trouble, besides many other ills. I had no home, and was at the children's home here, where they said I would have the operation; but the president was a Christian Scientist, and she wanted me to try Christian Science first, and asked me to let a practitioner come to see me. I was glad to do so, and was healed of the pain in my side, from which I had suffered for three years, supposed to have been caused from the birth of my child, though one doctor had treated me for tubercular disease. My baby is at the home now, where the Scientist has treated her. and a bowel trouble has been healed. I now have a good home with the one who treated me, and am doing all her housework, at the same time learning more about the truth every day, in some way. I am also being healed of a very bad temper, which caused me much trouble.
I can never be thankful enough for what Christian Science has done for me; it is all that saved my life. Even though my family had all deserted me, I found that the Christian Scientists were my real friends. I am glad to write this testimony.— Kansas City, Kan.
