"Man's extremity is God's opportunity." These words exactly describe the state in which Christian Science found me. To say I am grateful does not express forcibly enough what I feel for the deliverance from even a part of the material thought; to prove that I am grateful means the loyal adherence to Truth as we are taught to understand it in Science and Health. All along the path are physical and mental demonstrations, but the one I wish to tell about seems to me to be very practical and simple.
For several days I had been suffering with what seemed a very bad case of an eruption all over my body. Through the day it was not so bad, but at night the irritation would become almost unbearable. After several days and nights of this torment I called on a practitioner and asked her to treat me. It was in the morning when I first spoke to her about it, and I was immediately relieved. All that day I had no trouble, and that night the fear, which had been great on the preceding nights, was entirely overcome. From that day to this there has not been the slightest indication of a return of the trouble.
I am very glad to know that this Science can be read and applied by all, as in this instance, not only in making such demonstrations but by the overcoming of all that is not harmonious and beautiful in our daily life. Those of us who have had these proofs of God's care will know and understand the feeling of gratitude we have for those who help us along the way.— Kansas City, Mo.
