Through Christian Science I have found that God is indeed "a very present help in trouble." One day in the summer of 1912 I was out on the porch, and in turning around quickly to pick up something, I lost my balance and fell, twisting my ankle in such a way that it sounded as if the muscles were being torn asunder, and the cracking sound continued until I struck the hard sidewalk full length. I got up immediately, declaring the truth, and was able to walk into the house. I suffered no pain after a few minutes, and in two days I was able to take a long walk, perfectly healed.
No words can express the gratitude I feel for the glory and power of Christian Science, but I can best express it by following the teachings of Christ Jesus and those of our beloved Leader. I am grateful for the church and Sunday school, also for the Journal, Sentinel, and Monitor with their messages of Truth. — Kansas City, Mo.
