I feel so grateful for Christian Science and all it has done for me that I want to tell others of my healing. About two years ago I was in great misery, suffering from nervous Breakdown. I first heard of Christian Science in a hospital, where I had gone for medical treatment. As I was deriving no benefit from the means used, the head nurse became interested in my case, and one day she said to the doctor while he was in my room, "Doctor, if you have no objection I would like to read Mrs. Eddy's book to your patient, as I have been brought through the bitterest trial of my life by reading Science and Health." To my surprise he consented, saying he would be glad to have her do so, as he believed Mrs. Eddy's books had done a lot of good. I stayed in the hospital only a few days longer, for the doctor advised me to leave and go home, also to take Christian Science treatment, as he could do nothing for me. This I did, for every material means had already been exhausted, and thanks to the efforts of a faithful practitioner I was soon healed, not only of the nervous breakdown, but of other ailments, such as a serious throat affection, an inflamed condition of the finger, stomach disorder, and a tendency to take cold.
My most precious possession is the knowledge I have gained of Christian Science, and my earnest desire and prayer is to be worthy to be called a Christian Scientist.—Lynchburg, Va.
