Nearly five years ago I was left suddenly without a home and as I then thought without friends; but this was not true. God sent me a friend, a Christian Scientist, in whose home I have since resided, and wherein I have enjoyed all the privileges of a member of the family. I was left in debt and with no prospect of being able to meet the numerous obligations, but Truth opened the way for me to enter a business college, and after six months of study I was offered, and accepted, a position as stenographer. Six weeks later I secured a much better position as bookkeeper and stenographer at twice the salary I was then receiving. In less than a year a still better offer came, which I accepted. I am still filling this position, and my improved financial condition has enabled me to cancel all my obligations.
This demonstration of supply has been a great help to me. I was enabled to make it only through the faithful study of the Bible and the Christian Science text book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. The sense of great sorrow, physical ailments, and financial difficulties were completely overcome through the help of a Christian Science practitioner, and I have indeed been set free. I am being daily healed of temperamental errors of disposition.
Christian Science has taught me that it is a wonderful privilege to work in God's vineyard, however humble the task may be. For the demonstrations which have been made for me and those I have been enabled to make for myself, I am most truly grateful. — Spokane, Wash.
