About twelve years ago I received my first Christian Science treatment, which together with five more that followed, healed me of a light yet growing form of paralysis, the result of a serious operation performed the year before. I was grateful to be lifted out of this condition, but at that time was not ready for the teachings of Christian Science and was content to drift with the tide.
But the seed had been sown, and when I became seriously ill again, the physicians suggested another operation. Being left, however, to choose between suffering and Christian Science, I eagerly sought an understanding of the truth that makes men free. I found health, happiness, and life, together with an understanding that is each day growing through a study of the Bible together with "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. In the years since then I have learned that this wonderful knowledge is for me and for every one who will receive it conscientiously. I have prayed that God would direct me in all the channels of right thinking and right living, and whereas before my life was one of fear and discord, it is now one of peace and harmony.
I am grateful to God for this light of right understanding, and thankful to Mrs. Eddy for the message she so bravely gave to the world. It is a source of joy to be numbered among the thousands who are today thanking God for Christian Science.— Chicago, Ill.
