In the three and a half years that I have been studying Christian Science we have experienced a great deal of good. Indeed this saving truth is the richest blessing that has ever come into my life. In the winter of 1912 I was healed by it of a bad attack of acute lung trouble. I have also been healed of very severe headaches, blood-poisoning, and intense suffering which I had endured for over thirty years and which almost made me a nervous wreck. When materia medica failed to give even temporary relief, I was advised to try Christian Science. This I readily consented to do, and was speedily healed. Over two years ago my husband was perfectly healed of a bad case of skin disease, from which he had suffered over seven years and which medicine failed to cure.
Our healings seemed wonderful, but the healing which my mother experienced seemed still more so. In the spring of 1912 she had what the doctors called a hopeless case of gangrene in her foot, and the physician said her time was short. Then a practitioner in Christian Science was secured to help her, and she was entirely healed in a few weeks. She has had no return of the trouble. This is another proof that age is no obstacle, as she was eighty-three years old when healed. It was a case in which man's extremity was God's opportunity. There is not a day that we do not see good accomplished, and nearly all of the demonstrations have come from the study of the Bible, together with Mrs. Eddy's writings and the other authorized Christian Science literature.
