Sunshine: with showers now and then,
For so the rainbow hues have birth.
Green fields: with here and there a place
Where we may sow to brighten earth.
Playtime: but, ah yes, work,
That we may earn the craved "Well done."
Plenty: with cross of dearth o'ercome,
For only thus our crown is won.
Showers, barren ground, labor, dearth,
But point the way to prove our worth.
