It is with pleasure that I tell of...

From the February 1916 issue of The Christian Science Journal

It is with pleasure that I tell of my healing in Christian Science, in the hope that it may encourage some one who is seeking help. For eight years I suffered from lung trouble, for which materia medica could do nothing, and as members of my family had passed on with this disease, my fear was great.

One of the leading doctors of our town advised me to go to Denver, thinking my days might thereby be prolonged, although he did not promise a cure. Thus it was only after human skill had been exhausted that I turned to Christian Science. My recovery was not rapid, but as I grew in the understanding that God is divine Mind and in this Mind we live and move and have our being, my health began to improve. It is now three years since I took up Christian Science, and I have never made use of a drop of medicine in all that time. I am as well as any one could wish to be.

I am thankful to God for Christian Science, and grateful to Mrs. Eddy, who, being inspired with this saving truth, gave it to the world, that all who will may partake of its rich blessings. —
