Eighteen months ago I came to Christian Science for the healing of severe nasal catarrh of eleven years' standing, which had resulted in the loss of the sense of smell and often loss of voice. Now the membrane is normal, also the sense of smell and taste, and not a trace of the trouble is left. A badly injured ankle, train sickness whenever I had occasion to travel, also an acute attack of gastritis, all have been quickly healed by Christian Science treatment.
I cannot overestimate the great change which has been effected in my consciousness of God, and in gradual freedom from the sense of limitation. By my slight understanding of and growth in Christian Science I have found comfort, peace, and serenity, and am learning to rely entirely on Spirit and spiritual power for the solution of the human problem. I was brought up in a healthy intellectual atmosphere and taught to love all that is good and beautiful, all of which has helped me to appreciate the beauty, purity, and practicability of Christian Science. All my life I have had wonderful proofs of the guidance and omnipotence of divine Love, without understanding the truth; but now in Christian Science I have found the true concept of God, also of the Christ-healing.
During the last year I have read little else than Mrs. Eddy's writings, which are so intensely interesting and educative on this glorious theme. How the dear Leader in her own beautiful way happifies all subjects she touches! I unreservedly acknowledge my deep gratitude to God for Jesus' example, and that Mrs. Eddy followed so surely and faithfully in the Master's footsteps; for all healing, mental and physical; for a deeper knowledge of the Bible, and its spiritual interpretation; for the Christian Science services and literature, and for quiet, happy, and enlightening hours spent in the reading-room.— Edinburgh, Scotland.
