I am deeply grateful for what Christian Science has done for me. For many years I had been suffering from rheumatism, throat trouble, and neuralgia. There was no permanent relief from these ailments until I took up the study of Christian Science; then I did not have treatment, but was healed in less than two months through the reading of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy.
While in a small town in Saskatchewan in 1909, I awakened one night with a sore throat. I saw then that the fear of a return of the old trouble had not yet been overcome, so I turned on the light and read Science and Health until morning. During the following day I continued the reading, at the same time declaring that God is omnipotent and that there is no power apart from Him. It was late that night when I fell asleep, but I wakened in the morning entirely free physically and greatly uplifted mentally. Nearly five years have elapsed since then and there has not been the slightest return of the trouble. I have also been healed of extreme nervousness as well as of other ailments.
Not only am I grateful for the physical healing, but also for the spiritual uplift; for the understanding I am gaining of God and man's relationship to Him.
