I am very thankful to God for this wonderful truth, for need of which humanity has suffered so long, and which has come to us through the study of Mrs. Eddy's writings. I am able to see more clearly each day what Jesus meant when he said, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free;" for as we learn the truth we are certainly freed from the mortal sense of things. I am grateful for the healing power of Christian Science, as well as for the spiritual uplift. I have been healed of a number of what would probably have been called minor ailments, but to me the healing meant much, because it proved the power of Truth over error.
One day it was necessary for me to go quite a long distance. The weather was uncomfortably warm and the trip tiresome, and when my destination was reached I felt very badly. I could not help myself at all, and grew so much worse that it became necessary to call a practitioner. There was no pain, but I felt a great sense of weakness and was extremely nervous. It seemed to me I had never been so sick before. The practitioner was still working for me and I said to her that I felt as if I were passing out. She lovingly told me that I need not fear, for God is ever present.
The treatment continued for about two hours. At the end of that time I was able to read Science and Health, and I improved right along. In less than four hours I was perfectly free and was down town on business. This was a very helpful experience. I only wish to be able to live the truth as far as I understand it and to help others know that "God is no respecter of persons."— Baltimore, Md.
