I wish to be one more witness to...

From the February 1917 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I wish to be one more witness to the truth as contained in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. In March, 1914, I fell down stairs. My sister heard the fall and immediately proclaimed the truth, in which I joined as soon as I was able to do so. That was in the morning, and we worked in Science till evening, when I feared that there must be some bone broken. According to Science and Health one may have a surgeon in such cases, therefore we sent for one, who stated that the arm was broken near the shoulder. After setting the bone he declared it would not heal for six months; but I told him that would not be so with me, for I relied upon Christian Science. I had no pain, no inflammation, and could sleep well. In six weeks the arm was healed. It would have been a great misfortune to me if it had not healed so perfectly, for I am a musician; but I can play just as I did before.

During the year which followed this healing my sister and I gave three concerts, the first one being the entire first symphony of Beethoven for four hands. A month later we gave the whole of the second symphony, and a few weeks thereafter the entire fifth symphony. At these concerts I played with the deepest gratitude in my heart to God for His ever present help. I am indeed thankful for Christian Science.—
