In 1903 I was healed of a complication of diseases through the study of the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and at the same time was enabled to lay aside glasses that I had worn for several years. The last oculist who attended me said I would never be able to see without them, and that as I grew older stronger lenses would be needed. Now my eyes are used constantly from eight in the morning to eleven o'clock at night sometimes, without any bad effects. My son, sixteen years of age, has never tasted medicine, and has been healed of measles, mumps, and a very severe case of acute stomach trouble.
While we are grateful for the physical healing, we are far more grateful for the spiritual uplift, the understanding we have gained of God and of man's relation to Him. It helps us to solve problems that confront us each and every day. As a mother I am most thankful for the divine guidance and protecting care that we have come to know is ever present. I am also grateful for all our periodicals and for Mrs. Eddy's writings, especially at this time for our Church Manual, which helps us to know the right and only way to live. Words are inadequate to express my gratitude for Christian Science; I can only prove it by striving daily to live nearer the teachings of Jesus the Christ, for thereby only can I prove worthy of my profession as a Christian Scientist. Health and strength have increased with each year. I am and have been for the past eight years in perfect health, with no need of outside help for physical troubles.—Lincoln, Neb.
