With a feeling of deep gratitude I hereby testify to the blessings received through Christian Science. In August, 1914, I sustained a fracture of the thigh bone, which the doctors declared very serious, as I was already seventy years old. Fortunately, however, before this accident I already knew something of Christian Science, and therefore turned to a practitioner for help, which was lovingly given me. Through this treatment and through conscientious reading of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, as well as other Christian Science literature, I came to know the truth—the truth that frees us from every ill. All fear of an incomplete healing left me, and I felt safe under God's protection. Within six weeks I could leave my bed and walk around without the help of crutches or even a cane, to the great astonishment of my relatives and friends.
I am so grateful that I would like to testify to many other blessings which I have received since, but I will confine myself to mentioning a recent healing; namely, that of a bladder trouble, which medical doctors had failed to cure. Confidently I turned again to Christian Science, by which I had been so lovingly helped before in my trouble. Immediately after the first treatment there was a decided improvement, and within four months I was healed.
I hope this testimony will help some one struggling on his journey from sense to Soul. I am glad to be able to understand daily more of this life-giving truth which Christian Science has given to the world, and cannot find words to express my deep thankfulness to God that He has revealed to our Leader the truth, which she in turn has given to mankind.—
