In expressing my gratitude for the healing power of Christian Science teaching, I am especially grateful that through it we obtain a demonstrable knowledge of God as the only power, that we may know Him as a present help in whatever circumstance or condition we find ourselves placed,—among the children, in the house duties, the field, the office, everywhere and all the time. I never think of turning to any other aid, and am never disappointed. One morning I awoke with all the disagreeable symptoms of a heavy cold and a strong desire to remain in bed, but by a quick application of the truth as taught in Christian Science, these symptoms disappeared and at noon of the same day there was no trace of them.
I am grateful for a healing of a few months ago. The gas escaping from the kitchen stove rendered me suddenly unconscious. My daughter was alone with me, and seeing me fall, declared the truth about God and man, which brought about my perfect restoration in a few minutes, with no after effects of any kind. The healing was accomplished in the gas-filled room with no material aid whatever. We are all grateful for this proof of the presence and omnipotence of God, and also for the understanding of Truth.
I wish to express my gratitude for all of the Christian Science literature. There is always something which is just what we need, and bears reading and rereading many times, "blessing and reblessing at every contact," as we read in a recent Journal. I am very grateful for the healings I have experienced, for the wonderful lifting up above sense testimony, and for daily unfolding of the truth.—Bakersfield, Cal.
