It is almost fifteen years since Christian Science healed me of chills and fever, and it has been my only help since then. The truth has never failed me, but has led me through many hard trials. I cannot count the blessings it has brought to our little family of three children. The eldest, nearly eight years old, was healed of a rupture. Our little girl at the age of four years cut two of her fingers with an ax. One was cut to the bone and the other almost off. I put them in place, wrapped a big apron around the hand and telephoned for a doctor, as it seemed best to do so. After that I took the child in my arms and said we would work together so God could heal her fingers. When the doctor got there they were set perfectly, but he wanted to give chloroform and take stitches. As I would not let him, he just wrapped up the hand. It did not swell at all and next day the child was at play as usual. The ninth day the fingers were healed perfectly.
Christian Science has been our only stay in measles and whooping cough. Once when my family thought I was passing on, my husband got frightened and called the doctor, who said he had been called too late. I, myself, turned absolutely to Christian Science for help, soon falling asleep, and when I awoke I was healed. The third day I sat up with my family. The only way I can prove my thankfulness for Christian Science is faithfully to live the truth.—Ridgley, Tenn.
