When I first heard of Christian Science thirteen years ago, I was suffering from severe mental depression together with certain physical troubles. For two years I had been searching for spiritual healing, for I was sure God could heal me. The difficulty seemed to be to find some one to whom to apply for help, as my own prayers remained unanswered. Visiting the house of a friend one day I met a Christian Scientist from America who told me of the healing and saving power of this new-old religion. After a few weeks' treatment from a practitioner I was perfectly healed, and the healing has been permanent. The knowledge of the truth as taught by Mrs. Eddy in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" has since been found to be a very present help in every time of need.
I am very thankful to God, divine Love, and grateful to Mrs. Eddy for her great purity and faithfulness. My one desire is that I may grow more and more in the understanding of this teaching and that my life may bear witness to the truth.— Barnstaple, N. Devon, England.
